Lisa-Maree Amos

Australian flutist Lisa-Maree Amos, has appeared as Guest Principal Flute with the Boston Symphony and the Pacific Symphony in the USA, the BBC Symphony Orchestra in London including the famous Prom Concerts at the Royal Albert Hall, and is currently Principal Flute of the Colorado Music Festival where she has performed many concertos and chamber works and given masterclasses. Ms Amos has recorded for NMC, BMIC, Innova records, BBC Radio 3 and Classic FM in London, and has broadcast across the USA for many classical music stations and programs. She has received awards from the Royal College of Music, English Speaking Union, Countess of Munster Trust, Aspen Music Festival and was twice the recipient of the Chamber Music Award from the prestigious Tanglewood Music Center in the USA. A prized winner from the Royal Over-Seas League in London, Lisa-Maree made her Wigmore Hall debut in 2003 with Jane's Minstrels - a contemporary music ensemble she had the honor of travelling with to the USA and Scandinavia in addition to many Festivals including Harrogate, Spitalfields, Brighton amongst others. In addition to performing with many of the orchestras in London for over a decade, Ms Amos was a Live Music Now artist and a member of several small ensembles that performed nationwide in Festivals and Concert Series.

Lisa-Maree was recently appointed as Principal Flute of Orchestra Victoria based in Melbourne, Australia, and enjoys a variety of musical activities from recording, chamber ensemble and large orchestral performances and working with the Australian Ballet and Opera Australia.

Married Flutes

The Married Flutes have been in musical matrimony for over a decade. They met in Italy in the summer of 1990, and have lived and worked in London, New York, Arizona, Los Angeles, and now reside in Melbourne, Australia. Their unique programs cover a wide range of musical styles & they perform on all the members of the flute family from piccolos, through to Bass and even ContraBass Flutes. Previous performances include Trinity Church Concert Series in New York, concerts at the Barbican Centre in London, recitals at the Church of St Martins in the Fields, featured artists at the Los Angeles Bach Festival, performances through the Los Angeles County Arts Roster including concertos with local orchestras, recital in St Francis Bascillica in Assisi Italy and featured artists at the National Flute Convention in Las Vegas, USA. Peter and Lisa-Maree are founding members of the Los Angeles Flute Quartet.

Peter Sheridan

Peter Sheridan is a native of New York City and has served as Associate Professor in the Music Faculties of La Sierra University, Santa Monica Tertiary College and El Camino Tertiary College in the USA, as a Graduate Assistanship at University of California in Los Angeles and the University of Arizona, has given masterclasses for the National Flute Association Conventions and appearances at the American Composers Forum, Music Teachers Association of California, University of Southern California, University of Seattle, Santa Clara Music Festival and the International Electronica Festival. Mr Sheridan has performed on numerous Hollywood soundtracks and commercial recordings as a member of the Hollywood Studio Orchestra, and has freelanced with many Los Angeles orchestras including the Pasadena Symphony. As a soloist with the Grand Canyon Chamber Music Festival, Mr Sheridan has appeared on PBS Television as part of the "Continental Harmony" series and toured throughout the Four Corners area of the US Southwest. Peter has been the recipient of many awards and scholarships from the Juilliard School, Mannes College, Aspen Music Festival, University of Arizona, UCLA, and most recently named 'Outstanding Teacher' by the International Student Affairs Committee 2007 from Santa Monica College. Mr Sheridan is an enthusiastic commissioner and performer of new music, and is responsible for the creation and recording of many new pieces for flute ensemble and Alto, Bass and ContraBass Flute. Mr Sheridan can be heard on Albany Records, Innova, Warner Music Latina and Varese Sarabande. In January 2008 Mr Sheridan will be added to the list of Performance teaching staff at the Faculty of Music at the University of Melbourne.
